• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hi Clifton,

Check out Gospel for Asia at http://www.gfa.org/gfa/. They have a goal of having 100,000 native missionaries reaching the unreached parts of Asia (the 10/40 window). The are committed to fulfilling the Great Commission. On top of that 100% of the money that missionary sponsors send goes directly to the missionaries. I originally heard out GFA at Promise Keepers. They were handing out a free book called "Revolution in World Mission." You can get it free on their website by order the book or downloading a PDF. The book is a really good/easy read and will not take long. Once I finished reading it I was convinced that that they are a great group. Hope that helps.

Because of Him,

Terry

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not on your own understanding. In all ways ackowledge Him, and He will direct your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6

Four other ideas: see www.GenerousGiving.com and www.IsaiahMinistries.com (the latter is still beta). Generous Giving is an awesome website with many opportunities to give to projects and organizations. Isaiah Ministries will give you the opportunity to give to individuals when it's up and running.

Also ask your church's missions team if any of their supported missionaries are low on support and could use a new donor.

And finally, call the home office of an organization that you like the work of. My wife and I did this with Pioneers, just asked who in their ranks needed support. They gave us the name of a family and we've supported them monthly since then. It's a great encouragement to have this unexepected regular support (I speak from experience, living partially on support myself.).

I am about to be appointed with a missionboard myself to take the Gospel to Australia through music theater, so I appreciate your interest in supporting our missionaries, as well!

And I have a lot of friends that are serving in foreign (and "home") fields all over the world...some of them are listed on http://www.wanderingminstrels.net (look under the link for "other missionaries" or something like that--I know, I should know my own site, but, hey... ;)

And peoplegroupmissionary, where are you serving, and what kind of ministry are you doing there? How can we be praying for you???

Our project can certainly use all the prayer and financial support we can get. (By the way, we have some spots open for individuals to come with us on our project this year.)

If you come along you'll be working side by side with Israelis and Palestinians as they work together to deliver Christmas gifts to children in Bethlehem. You'll also get lectures from the dean of academics at Bethlehem bible college.

You can read up on us at our site:
BethlehemChristmasProject.info

Finally, you can support us financially there as well (we have a donate button).
