Warning signs to stress ...
Stress is a natural response to some situations. Stress is manageable. Recognizing your own warning signs is realizing your limits. When you can identify your limits, then you know what therapy you need. Do you just need to slow down and relax? Do you need prayer? Do you need someone to talk to? Should you distract yourself until you can refocus? Do you need to try all of these? Make a list of unhealthy habits you need to avoid when feeling under stress. Remember that that naming your behavior patterns is the first step to taking control of your feelings. The next step is to practice coping in healthy ways. Then....................... Practice....................... Practice....................... Practice....... Focus each time on what you are doing right, the positive pieces of your dealing with any situation. Knowing about the negative patterns are only to help you label things to see them clearly.
