Looking for Downloadable Christian Music and Videos Websites

Hi and God Bless...

This is my first time joining any kind of forum and am glad I chose a Christian forum. This has come with my frustration of the inability to find a site where I can purchase christian worship music and videos.

I hope someone knows of a site(s) and send the link my way...

In addition to what ephesus32 suggested, you might like to look at some videos on YouTube. The majority of praise and worship that comes out of Australia are from Planetshakers, Hillsong and Hillsong United, Christian City Church Oxford Falls and Intregity's (Hosanna) Maranatha music (such as the album iWorship MPEG Video). If you use any of these bands as search terms in YouTube then you should be able to find quite a few music videos for some of their songs.

I guess that said, you'll typically find that you get better videos for the Christian genre though (as opposed to the praise and worship genre), like Seventh Day Slumber's Caroline or KJ-52's Dear Slim. Video songs for praise and worship genre are generally just live performances within the church, though Integrity's (Hosanna) version of the song We All Bow Down does have a cool video along with it as it has been used a few times in my church. This, along with a lot of other praise and worship songs, is from Intregity's iWorship MPEG Video Library A-F. Like I said above, you can find a few of these songs on YouTube. It seems like you can't currently buy it from Intregity's online store and I also couldn't find it on eBay. You may be able to locate it in a Christian bookshop or ask them to see if they can order it in for you.

To download the videos from the YouTube website you'll need to use either RealPlayer or a plugin for Firefox (an Internet browser similar to Internet Explorer) that allows you to download video files from sites like YouTube, which is usually available from their recommended add-ons website. I think that you need RealPlayer to play those files anyway once they've been downloaded (in flv extension format).

Many video songs are also on the band's CDs. For example, Hillsong United's album All Of The Above has videos of the live performance for three songs. You can generally buy them from your local Christian bookshop (like Koorong in Australia), from the band's website, or even from sellers on eBay. It should be noted that Koorong also has an online store as well if you prefer to do shopping that way.

www.ChristianVolume.com is a faith based youtube type site. It is still in the start up phase so there is only a couple hundred videos right now. But looking for new members to help grow

But since you will probably be looking for more here is a few I know of.

For radio you can try

pandora.com its not downloadable but you can listen to pretty much any christian genre for free.

grooveshark.com this is not a christiansite either but you can choose any song you can think of and listen for free. Unlike pandora where you have to accept whatever playlist they come up with you can create your own with songs you choose.

For videos there is

godtube.com
tangle.com
ultimatetube.com
gospeltube.com

All those should keep you pretty busy for a while. Hopefully one day I can get there too!

I've got about 26 radio stations that I found there. I simply "right click" and save the .pls file and open it with either WinAmp or with Xmms on my mobile hand held device.
