Hello there.

I have been a Christian since 1991 (baptised in 1993) and the church I used to attend, being evangelical by nature, offered sharing the gospel with many other Christian denominations, so I am not here presenting any point for any argument regarding the validity of my beliefs, because I have probably heard them before and have made my mind before the Holy Spirit.

Would you be kind to help me please?
I am looking for a denomination that would reflect my understanding of God.
This is what I believe:

► I believe there is only One God, the Father.
► I believe the Holy Spirit is not a person.
► I believe in Jesus Christ, The Son of God, Saviour and only way to God.
► I believe that Jesus Christ is not God.
► I believe that Jesus Christ is god, in his nature: OF-GOD.
► I believe in the resurrection from the dead.
► I believe Jesus Christ fulfilled the Law and placed us under Grace.
► I believe in repentance and baptism as means of salvation.
► I believe that hell is eternal death and is different than the lake of fire.

Please understand, this is neither binitarianism nor ditheism.

If you feel you need to define more accurately other beliefs to classify more closely the denomination I am seeking, such as manifestations of the Gifts, predestination, baptism or else, please feel free to ask, as a query.

Many thanks for your guidance, and may God be your blessing.

Are you confident that all that you believe is the truth. The reason I ask is because if you find a denomination sharing all your beliefs exactly the chances of you discovering new truth or realizing the errors in any truth that you believe will be very minimal. I do understand your need to find like minded people and you should go ahead. However, do not shut the door to those that might believe things differently.

I don't go to church within my Parish, because I don't feel any of the churches, of any denomination, suit me. So, I travel a little to go to a good one that I really enjoy and fits my beliefs pretty spot on.

I don't know of any Christian denomination that is non-trinitarian. The closest group I can think of, based on your understanding of Jesus in relation to God the Father, is Jehovah's Witnesses - I don't know where they stand on your other points though.

You may not find a church that agrees with ALL your points. Have you been through your list and prioritised it according to what is absolutely essential and foundational, and what you can 'agree to disagree' with providing the essentials are met?

This forum has folders covering lots of different denominations and sects, all with statements of belief or core beliefs - it's a great tool to get an overview of and compare different denominations.

Sounds like Arianism. The Jehovah's Witnesses are probably the largest quasi-Arian group today. There are smaller quasi-Arian or Arian groups. I know there is an Arian Catholic Church, but I don't know if it's more than a small online group of like-thinking persons.

Arianism teaches that Jesus, the Son, is a created god, a divine power created by God the Father and instrument of creating the world and the means by which the Father interacts with the world. Arianism also rejects the personhood of the Holy Spirit, instead regarding it as an impersonal power.

An Arian German bishop from the 4th century wrote this as the "Arian Creed",

"I, Wulfila, Bishop and Confessor, have always believed thus and in this sole and true faith I make my journey to my Lord,

I believe that there is only one God, the Father, alone unbegotten and invisible, and in His only-begotten Son, our Lord and God, creator and maker of all things, not having any like unto Him. Therefore there is one God of all, who is also God of our God, and I believe in one Holy Spirit, an enlightening and sanctifying power. As Christ says after the resurrection to His Apostles: 'Behold I send the promise of My Father upon you; but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem until ye be clothed with power from on high.' And again: 'And ye shall receive power coming upon you by the Holy Spirit.' Neither God nor Lord, but the faithful minister of Christ; not equal, but subject and obedient in all things to the Son. And I believe the Son to be subject and obedient in all things to God the Father.
" - From Auxientius' Letter concerning Ulfias/Wulfila

To the best of my knowledge, no Christian denomination at all has that specific package of beliefs. In particular, the Deity of Christ is a core Christian belief, even among non-Trinitarians like the Oneness Pentecostals.

What if your understanding of God is not correct? Then you would be looking for a denomination that just reinforces your erroneous beliefs about God and you'd be no closer to God as a result.

Instead of looking for a denomination that teaches what you already believe, why not instead look for the Church(es) that have strongest historical claim? The Orthodox Christian Churches and the Holy Roman Apostolic Catholic Church both have histories going back all the to the start of the Church in the first century. None of the protestant denominations have histories that go back further than 500 years and all of them are based upon doctrine that was unheard of before that. Also both the Orthodox and the Catholic Church can trace the roots of their traditions back to preChristian Judaism. None of the Protestant denominations can make the same claim.

Too late.
The Christians that proclaims the bible to the public had already received the laying of hands or the Spirit transformations to continue with the Gospel.

What's with all these traditions of Man. How did it go so far off course?

Why don't you just start your own church?
In your profile you state you are:
Life View: Fundamentalist

Read what you believe and compare it to the Fundamentalist Statement of Faith listed at: http://www.christianforums.com/t7396152/

What is really strange is how other denomination believe you CAN"T start your own church. Most believe you can't do baptism and the supper. How legalistic is that?

I have been blasted left and right, up and down for asking who can do what.
