  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Discovering that life's meaning is only found in and through our personal relationship with Jesus Christ establishes the foundation for a deeper understanding of the Christian's purpose in life.

It is one thing to know in "what" life's meaning actually lies, yet it is another thing to understand the direction we must head to successfully find this meaning.

Specifically, you must know what God's purpose for your life actually is and then you must learn what to do to fulfill that purpose.

The Scriptures are very explicit about this. First, the Bible says that the ultimate purpose in life for everyone is to glorify and enjoy God.

Second, the Scriptures reveal how you can fulfill your purpose through discipliship...that is, becoming a close follower of Jesus Christ. The more you know Him, the more you become like Him......ultimately fulfilling God's purpose of glorifying Him.

Third, the Scriptures show how our spiritual progress is very dependent upon the gifts of people who surround us in Christ's church. Through their example and assistance, we are equipped to become more and more like Christ and to fulfill God's will.

Finally, the Scriptures show how this is all worked out through your individual life experiences. God has given you specific talents, gifts, and places of service where Christ's value system is expressed through the works that you do.

It is Jesus Christ living in you that produces the good works of God, which ultimately brings glory to Him.

Matthews 5: 16 says: "in the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."

It must always be remembered that in everything we do, it is to be done with a humble heart and to the best of our ability, so that God may be glorified.

Read and reaffirm the following truths; then write down your thoughts:

1. My supreme purpose in life is to glorify God....Psalm 19: 1; 29: 1,2; Ephesians 1: 3 to 14

2. The way to fulfilling purpose is to enter into a life of discipleship as a learner/follower of Christ......Luke 14: 25 to 34; Matthew 16: 24 to 26

3. To help me develop properly as a disciple, God has placed other gifted people in His church......1 Corinthians 12: 12 to 31

God Bless
