Ever since I became a christian.I have new friends now.and that's good and all.but the thing is.most of them are married or work at nite.any advice on what I can do to keep from getting so lonley

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

a long journey ahead
i read books when i'm feeling lonely, which's been pressing down on me lately in particular. Another way's to go online and read mb to relieve my feelings, and i pray that God'd somehow change my life.... but u never know.
i'll be praying, the best thing to keep feeling lonely's to do what u like doing.

I know many larger churches have singles clubs or ministries. You might want to look into that. Also, taking Bible classes in large churches, you will be introduced to more Christians.

Use the time when you're on your own to serve God. You might feel like it, but who said it would be easy?
I am at school, s I do extra revision and fitness training in my spare time.
Ask God to lead you in what He wants you to do- learning first aid might be helpful, for example, or go and work at one of those feed the poor places.
If you say to yourself,'I am too tired to work, then sleep and regain the energy. Serve God at ALL times, then you'll have the satisfaction of knowing that you're not wasting time.

There is nothing harder than being a lone ranger Christian. I was one for most of my Christian life. But it is very difficult to not fall into pits when you don't have anyone supporting you, helping you, teaching you and praying for you.
Listen to Christian radio as much as you can, it really helps. And try to find a church or fellowship that has activities at times when you would otherwise be lonely.
I'll keep praying that you find a fellow pilgrim to share the path with!
