All righty, any discussion on how evil muslims are should be moved to a new thread.

Consider it done, but please understand I did not use, nor intend to use, the term evil in anything.....

Even now I dont really know what to write, I mean its scary, really scary. 9/11 was bad to watch and seeing that devestation made you think, but its a whole different thing when its your own country. I mean largely we'd all moved on from 9/11 and Madrid but then this happens. Its not like its sustained attacks, its everytime we feel safe and secure they blow people up and thats unnerving.

I'm looking at universitys now and in a few years there could be another attack, and it could be in the city I'm living in. We dont know when there going to attack, where their going to attack and the fact is theres little in the way we can do to prevent it.

Well this is tragic, but let us keep proportion. Cancer will kill 9 Londoners today. Add heart disease, and deaths on the roads, and a similar number of deaths will occur from those causes.

All these morons achieved was to cause a lot of distress and hurt a lot of people. London will not be cowed by this... it's a terible nuisance, but completely ineffective as a weapon against us

well terrorist attacks in other countries have succeeded in undermining our liberties. I fear that this domestic attack will be used as the wrecking ball to the last of our principles, traditions and institutions.

Then we must fight to ensure that does not happen, by peaceful means.

Too late re:Terrorist legislation. That Charles Clarke doesn't like the look of you is already enough reason for imprisonment.

exactly. but I thought you were a socialist...?

As in supporter of New Labour? No way! New Labour isn't Labour at all...they're more Tory than the Tories are I'm afraid.

I'm a socialist, dunno about Robbie, but no fan of New Labours policies on personal liberty. Freedom, liberty and democracy matter no matter what your views on economics. I loathe private public joint funded initiatives for example, but Labour are keen on them too. Still politics for another day rebel.

Wonder how people will get home with trains out?

EDIT: oh and I voted Lib Dem this time.
