Liz Cheney may lose her Congessional seat as a result of her role on the January 6 Committee. But her legacy will include a no holds barred calling out of Republicans that failed to defend the Constitution and the nation.

Liz Cheney may lose her Congessional seat as a result of her role on the January 6 Committee. But her legacy will include a no holds barred calling out of Republicans that failed to defend the Constitution and the nation.

I admire her stand. Even Trump's own daughter Ivanka doubts her father's claims about the Big Lie of a stolen election now. Donald Trump could well be in prison for a whole host of crimes before 2024.

But somehow I think only a total election defeat will rid the house of a generation of Republicans who put their own career advancement before the truth. Liz Cheney should be the Republican candidate next election. Even Ivanka would be better than Donald.

She was chosen because she voted for the formation of the investigation committee, to begin with.

McCarthy chose five members, three of which voted to not certify the election. Pelosi said no to two of them, Banks and Jordon, and accepted the rest. McCarthy then pulled all five and refused to choose anyone.
Nothing like cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Also, I know that at least Jordon or Banks, maybe both, is going to be called as a witness so they can't very well do both, can they?

I know that when Donald Trump was president, he attacked Dick Cheney for lying
to the American People when he said we needed to go into Iraq and take out
Saddam Husein. Trump was right on that statement and Dick Cheney should be
wearing an orange jump suit while doing time in a federal prison.

Unlike many pretend conservatives, Cheney actually supports the constitution. That means she has a political spine and conservative voting record. Too many Republicans have conservative voting records but lack political courage.

Trump was right. Cheney should've been convicted for crimes against

No, I don't think Trump caused or influenced the violence on Jan 6.

However, he was wrong refusing the election results and not cooperating with
the transfer of power to Biden

The investigation isn't just about Trump, it's about anyone that was involved in what took place that day. I want to know who and how no matter who it was and how they did it.

People that don't watch will still be commenting and judging on them though. How can people do that when they have no first-hand knowledge of what is said and shown in the hearings?
