Liturgical CD's

i was wondering if anyone knew about good places to buy recorded liturgical music that's on cd??? male choir or mixed, either one is good....have found the market to be too small to my liking....

The best place I have come accross is musica russica. It's VERY good, with a huge selection, of church music of all sorts, Russian, Greek, mixed choir, male only, women only.... I really recomend it!!

St. Vladimir's Orthodox Seminary has a great CD of the Liturgy of the Pre-Sanctified gifts. Also, there is an excellent CD by the Robert Shaw singers of Rachmaninov's Vespers which should be available at any better record store.

P.S. Do you have your terrible towel out and warmed up for February 6th?

My godfather, who is a Russian priest and an accomplished Church musician, often says that the best recording of the Divine Liturgy in English is that of the Patriarchal Cathedral in London. Input, anyone?

Meanwhile, does anyone know where to get good recordings of REAL (i. e., Serbian ) Church music? I'm a little sick and tired of having to order them directly from the Duhovna S(a)rbia (Heavenly Serbia, said in Slavonic with a Montenegrin accent!) and the Nebeska Tserna Gora (Heavenly Montenegro, said in the Montengrin variety of Serbo-croatian!). *grin* Anyway, the major Serbian church suppliers (Bishop Nikolai Bookstore in Libertyville, IL; Narrow Path Bookstore in Lansing, IL; etc.) don't seem to carry a lot of variety.

Yeah, that's me.

The main female solo voice is me. Moses does much of the ison and is the "secondary voice" in the male duets. The main male voice is a fella named Aaron, who has done most of the work for marketing it. I kinda feel guilty about that, so I push it when I can.
