These are so adorable. My little boy loves animals. He has seen the commercial on TV and says he wants one. But you know kids they want everything they see on tv. But the features these pet sets have, I know my boy would love. He is four years old. So my question is, do you think it would be ok to buy this for a boy?

They are animals I think it's okay. I think my nephew had some from his sister played with them more than she ever did. He's also very cuddly and liked stuffed animals. I also don't see anything wrong with a boy having an easy bake oven or a kitchan play set.

Hee Hee, Max has his cousins big Kitchen! He loves it. And also her Dora Dollhouse, because she is tired of Dora and only wants to do art now. She is also four! Thank you gals for your opinions. Anyone else think I would be making him into a sissy?

He's four and why can't a boy like animals and kitchens? Most Vets & chefs are still male. My cousin, who will be ten this December *loves* Steve Erwin can't get enough of that show so I know boys like Animals.

Don't worry soon enough he'll want to cook the animals in the play oven and try and turn everything into a gun....or at least that's what I've seen with my nephew's who's now 7.

He would love littlest pet shop! It is a good game, it might be a game to grow into, but It would definately be approprate. It is gender neutral so would be fitting for a boy or girl. It's a cute game, I'm sure he would love it. (Thats a good Christmas Idea)

LOL, thank you girlies!! And uh, don't worry, Max likes to "shoot" things too. Only because his daddy hunts. And Linnis, you are probably so very right, about Max starting to cook the animals in his kitchen! That is so hilarious! I will have to tell that one to my hubby!

I went ahead and ordered the two playsets! I can't wait to see them. Oh, Heck, I can't wait for Christmas!! Woohoo

My daughter loves these things and her 5 year old male cousin loves to play them with her.. yeah the tons of pink make it a little fru fru, but, I played with my sisters' Barbies as a kid... usually as the villians for my superhero dolls yes dolls I admit it I played with dolls....

But again, they're toys, not gender role guides......

Have you seen the Fur Real Pet Scamps. SCAMPS really "understands" what you say - he can can sit, lie down, beg, howl and give a paw. Train him and he'll do tricks for you! It is so cool. My son loves the idea of having a pet, but is entirely too young in my opinion. So I thought this would be a good medium of his love for pets. They have several different kinds of animals that do different things.

But thank you for your honest thoughts!! Max actually likes pink. Yeah I know, fu fu. But I have a scrapbook room and we painted the walls Pink. So I think it has something to do with that. And nothing to do with the fact that his daddy likes pink! oops, I did I just type that out loud? SSssshhh, don't tell anyone! But Max also likes blue! So I guess it is all evened out.

Hey Suzy, I have seen those and Max likes them too. I didn't really know too much about them at the time to be able to justify the cost. Besides, Jake, our dog, can do all those things too! Wasn't too long ago, I taught him to roll over! It only took three different times for him to catch on! Makes me proud!
