What does everyone think of Lindsay Lohan? I think she's a very good singer and has a lot of talent. All her songs have good lyrics too. Anyone else heard her?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
Lindsay Lohan has two talents: her left breast and her right breast.
This talent that you're talking of is rather invisible to me. As an actress, she has never potrayed a serious character with any degree of depth: she does flimsy "teen culture" movies where she sports her appeal as a modern young lady to promote the spoiled, sheltered world of America's middle-class teen in which the biggest of one's worries is "whether that cute boy likes me".
As a singer, 90% of the work is done by others. Judging by their whininess, I'd say she actually writes her own lyrics (though they have probably been touched up by an editor), and that is her face on the screen, but that's about where her involvement ends. Incase you don't know how it works, Lindsay goes to a manager and says, "I want to record this song", the manager hooks her up with a producer and studeo, they edit some of her lyrics, stick her in a sound booth, record several random snippets, then computer edit her voice to sound tollerable (though it is obvious that no one ever taught her proper vocal techniques). A team or individual is hired to synthesize a musical background to her voice that is later inserted with little or no say from Lindsay. When all this is said and done, she is put in a make-up chair, airbrushed to look symmetrical, put in a flimsy shirt and then set infront of a camera. Add a wind machine, some light effects and interesting camera angles while Lindsay moves her mouth, and you now have the Wife to marry the Husband of the computerized studeo recording, featuring music written by total strangers. They plaster the track onto the imagery and broadcast it on Nickelodeon: ta-da, Lindsay is now a recording studeo artist.
If I can give her credit for anything, it is her beauty and her talent at running a public persona. She is deffinately an entertainer, albeit a bad one, and she is very good with public relations. How much of it is an image consultant is up to one's imagination, but she does make a darling celebrity personality.

I have no respect for musicians who lip sync on stage and whom don't write their own music. I think the only reason she did it to begin with was to be up there with Hillary Duff anyway...

Good point. Duff and Lohan's rivalry is no big secret. It's somewhat sickening to see it affect their art (if so it can be called).

Yea, I can't stand 'em... either of them, not one little bit. I think they're both just, ridiculous. Apart from the fact that the choice of "music" they attempt to "perform" is totally opposite of what I listen to, even if I did enjoy their specific genre I'd still think they sucked... cause they do! Icky... ick.. icky. If I had to pick one of them, it'd be Lohan because I just plain can't stand that Duff child, she's so annoying and ditzy. She acts like she's all hot and sexy in her music videos and it's like... dude, just... no, please pour pepper spray in my eyes by the gallon now. Ugh, yea... I just hate her. Music, her "movies" that she "stars" in. The way I see it, producers are all either high on morphine or town drunkards because Hilary Duff has no lick of talen... she can't act, much less sing. Lindsay Lohan was better before she started trying to sing... I think she's a decent actress though.
Btw... ALL of that was my opinion... you'll find I'm a very opinionated person!

hi tanyalita,i like her freckles..haha but i havent given her much of a listen yet. she was funny in the film where she switched with her mom.i've heard she really played that guitar and if thats true..she's got guitar talent. bye bye!

hey tanyalita... haha I hope you are not afraid to make anymore posts in here! But i think everyone's made it clear that Lohan is borderline talentless except for guitar playing as mentioned, good hair and, er.... other things!

Haha, I'm not afraid to admit I really like Lindsay Lohan. Her music is great. Her acting, isn't bad either. I didn't know she played the guitar in Freaky Friday. o.o If she did, that gives her even more talent!

I don't have a big opinon on Lindsay lohan. I mean, no I don't like her at all, but I'm not going to yell at anyone for liking her. I just think that if you seriously like Lindsay lohan for her MUSIC then you have NOT explored enough groups out there! Because in my opinion most people can sing better than she can! And I think she just took on the music roll to beat out Duff or at least stay on the same page as her.
