I have always been curious if Christians find Lilith canon with holy scripture.

She sounded awfully oppressive.
From what I know, she would be compared with Ba'al and Molech, which were other gods named in scriptures, that people feared and offered appeasements to.

Some of the writings about Lilith seem as though they could be translated to show her like a pterodactyl. Screeching all day... nest in the tree trunk.... bird talons...

You have to understand...The ancient Jews often told stories with certain theological teachings. Rabbis where known to be master story tellers. We call many of these stories parables. These stories can be outrageous and actually contradict scripture while teaching a certain point. This did not make the outrageous claims are physically true, but taught a lesson on the proper relationship of God with humans, humans with humans, and humans with the environment. For instance, one story says that two sons of Jacob’s fasted for years for forgiveness. The fast in the Jewish context is doing without water and food. So how exactly could this be that two men fasted for years? While it was not true that they fasted for years but their teaching had to do with certain fast in the calendar year that had been made because of the destruction of the temple and forgiveness of Israel. So then, Lilith has more to do with proper relationship of man and wife than physically true. God did not create Lilith before Eve.
