I'm wondering what do people think of this? It is directed I think mostly at teenagers, although the message applies to everyone. Set to a song, the skit shows God's love for us and relationship with us, and how far Satan will go to break it. Also shows what God did to free us from sin.

Seeing this almost brought tears to my eyes. I used to struggle with self-harm and suicide, as well as an addiction that brought me far from Him and brought me very low, and one that I am still struggling with but am getting help with and is slowly being defeated.

I'm sorry but the whole thing just looks ridiculous to me. I mean, I guess it's not bad for high school students, but are they on an actual stage with this? Overacted and as subtle as a brick to the forehead, plus they aren't even moving to the music.

Far be it from me to judge what people like; I watch Sex and the City unironically so I can't really claim to have good taste, but I wouldn't find this particularly moving even without the religious components.

It brought tears to my eyes too. Mine were from laughter though.
Thank for the feedback, Blayz. Yeah, teenage girls slitting their wrists and becoming addicted to alcohol can be a hoot for some people.

A friend of mine very intent on converting me showed me this a long time ago. never much cared for it myself, kinda thought it was corny personally.
Thanks for the response. What did you find corny about it? I'm just curious, I respect your feedback.

Thanks Jade for the feedback. I think the students could have moved to the music better, not sure if it is over-reacted. Addictions and suicidal urges are really powerful things, I can relate to them both; it feels like you are being torn apart and there is no way out. I think the actors and actresses playing these sins did a good job.

LOL I saw one episode of Sex and the City... one was enough for me. There is definitely a variety of opinions on everything. :)

When I saw this years ago it made me cry... almost did this time. Ah, to 'have' a loving saviour.
We all do. Although I believe Jesus is as much a "personal" Saviour as He is for the whole world. He died for all peoples and communities, not only individuals. But it is up for individuals to decide whether or not they accept Him and what He did for us.

It's got that "god makes everything magically better" thing to it. It might just be my personal views on religion, but it definately seems a bit keen on that whole "you're nothing without God" thing.

I have seen this before and every time I see it I almost start crying. That being said, every time I hear that Lifehouse song I almost start crying too. Not sure why.

For once, I must disagree with Jade. This isn't meant to be a masterpiece with amazing acting. Its a "skit". Nor is it meant to be well-choreographed; the energy of the skit follows the music quite well though (i.e. when the drums come in is when she starts fighting etc)

Also, regardless of belief, I'm not sure how one could be so callous to find this funny. The "sins" being portrayed in this video are pretty serious issues and all of us at times need something to fall back on for comfort and support whether it be Jesus or parents or whatever when times are tough.

I could understand perhaps laughing if they were portraying sins like sex before marriage or abortion because those are more contentious. But I feel like most people are in agreement that bulimia, suicide and alcoholism are generally bad/wrong.
