  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Did anyone catch the premiere of the new show, Life On Mars on ABC Thursday night? From the previews it looked pretty interesting so I tuned in. It's pretty good. The basic premise of the show is a NYC detective, on the brink of solving a murder case (and whose girlfriend goes missing, apparently at the hands of the suspect), gets hit by a car and wakes up...in 1973. So now he has to figure how to get back to the present time and how to save his sweetheart.

The show captures the spirit of the 70's quite nicely. It's pretty cool to see how things were like back in my birth year. ;)

Awesome soundtrack as well.

I just saw both threads. I'll post what I said in the other thread:

I liked the premier episode, but the 1973 cops are SO incredibly obnoxious and unlikable. I think they are going to have to make these characters more relatable, or they're going to be grating before too long.
