Creationist mistake #1. Do they actually teach these errors you guys make in some online class or something. This must the billionth misuse of the word 'theory' and the word 'proven' in a scientific context. Learn what science is so you don't make this mistake.

Known age? So in other words, if calculations don't agree with "known ages", then they're thrown out? But if you don't have a "known age" yet for something, then the calculations are kept? Yet these calculations always match up with each other? You can't just keep want you want and throw away what you don't want. I was speaking specifically of c-14 dating which can be compared to things of known ages such as trees, ancient artifacts, volcanic eruptions, and is determined to be fairly accurate and its limitations are well know.

I didn't say anything is thrown out. The curves and tables that are used in c-14 dating are constructed by measuring the samples of known ages.

You misunderstood my post and the methods I discussed on how the c-14 dating is calibrated are valid and accepted. You need to understand how this dating works before you attempt to try to overthrow it. You have not shown that you understand the methods and your post only validates that.

Noone has mentioned idea of life on Mars having origionated on the earth.

Martian rocks are found on the earth, it is expected that rocks from the earth exist on Mars. Life is found deep within rocks on the Earth. There is a posibility life was propagated from Earth to Mars by being blasted off the earth via a meteor strike.

Don't be surprised if life is found on Mars or if it's found to be simillar to life on earth.

They probably weren't sterilized. In fact, they weren't. They were exposed to open air at some point so life did arrive at Mars.

That life is dead now- it's too cold, there's no water, no food, and it can't breathe in a foreign atmosphere (they're specialized to our environment after 3.5 billion years of fine-tuning). Life doesn't exist on Mars anymore (if the microorganisms were capable of surviving to that point). It might have at one point though.

The planetismal collision which created our moon would have been capable of such. However, that was 4.25 billion years ago, according to Encyclopedia Brittanica 2004 if I remember correctly. Even if the microorganisms did get blasted off, I don't see how they would be capable of traveling months through space after such a blast. It is said that the heavy bombardment era sterilized the earth. Would not such a blast that projected rocks into space have a similar effect.

What would the rocks have landed in? The inner earth is quite different from ice on the surface of Mars. Doubt they'd have survived.

The most important fact to remember though is that life probably synthesized through abiogenesis AFTER the heavy bombardment of meteors. So such mechanisms to deliver a safe trip to Mars would be lesser in number.

Rkonfire, known ages are determined through the isochron if there's ever a reason to dispute such.
