  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

This is completely tongue-in-cheek... okay? ;)

Here's what I've learned from the Patriots' Superbowl victory. These life lessons can be applied to anything you may have to face. Yes, you too can climb that mountain and see victory!

1. When you practice in tough conditions, everything else is a piece of cake.

2. When you've got people supporting ya and cheering ya on, you can take on the world.

3. Teamwork, not selfish "me-me-me-ism," produces results.

4. "One game at a time."

5. Don't let satisfaction with one victory keep you from pressing forward.

6. Don't be ashamed to dance. :p

THe pats didn't have it as a "piece of cake" They put the best fight of the super bowl ever. I'm dissapointed yall think that game ws an easy win.

I certainly don't believe it was a "piece of cake." After the 1st quarter, it was one of the most exciting Super Bowls I have witnessed (I think I've seen them all  )

A "piece of cake" was what the Redskins behind Doug Williams did to the Broncos ^_^ .

It is just too darned bad that all of the hype on Monday focused on the half-time show. That is just plain STUPID!

It was a good game. But I agree, no easy game for the Pats. It may not be the Pats, maybe just the media. But to me the media makes the Patriots look like stuck up snots who just win. First of all living in Ohio, closer to MA then NC, everywhere heard it is, Tom Brady this, Adam V. that, Patriots dynasty you know! Bah, stuff like that sickens me. I hope the real team doesn't think this way.

the win may not have been easy, but it was expected. there were few games this year that were not as close for the pats and they still came out on top. they were and will be next year the team to beat. look forward to another great season following the pats, now if only our red sox could perform as well.

What really bothered me was even though I am a Brady fan I wished Viniatieri would had gotten MVP because he won the team both Super Bowls and hopefully one day a kicker/punter will get MVP!!
