The past few years, one thing has been on my mind. Why were we created? This goes past a PURPOSE to help others, to bring others to Christ, or seeking wisdom. But why was I thought of in the mind of God? Why was this earth created if God knew how much trouble it would be?
Just to set the ground work, I am a very sad person, visual, perfectionistic, and I think much of my time. Just thinking, I would truly get disgusted with myself just for not being what I saw in great people. Einstien, Newton, Picasso. I would never amount to them. So what is the point?
Next, I have always loved to work with my hands, and I never was happy with what I would create. But I still painted, drew, sculpted and photographed anything I possibly could. But the question was, why would I still create if I knew that I would not be completely happy with my work? The answer is that I am a artist at heart, and I can't stop expressing myself. I still love my artwork even if it is not always perfect.
I believe that this is the way that God is with us. He created angels, heaven, the UNIVERSE, but He did not want to stop there. It reminded me of when I get a good idea to paint. I can't rest until I get what I saw down onto a canvas. I simply love art work, that is my nature. How much more does the first artist, God, love us. Even with our faults, shortcomings, and hopelessness, God still says, "I love my artwork."
I am tired to trying to be great, because I already am perfect in God's eyes. How beautiful God's artwork is. We think, breath, move, speak, and praise him. This is my purpose, I am just another piece of God's original art. So are all of you. That is an amazing purpose.
