  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Doesn't look terrible... http://www.lexhamenglishbible.com/about ...especially if you could use it alongside Logos.

Looks like NT only right now. Makes use of BDAG and Louw-Nida for notes. Lists W. Hall Harris III as the general editor...he works on the NET Bible and contributed to the NASB.

It wasn't even on my radar, to tell you the truth. I was surprised to see BibleGateway.com has it as an option ...

I'm curious as to why it doesn't carry "Version" instead of just "Bible" (as only true translations can be called "Versions"....)

Right now it looks ok... includes salvation and the blood of Christ...

but I don't see a need for it for me, personally. I like my Greek-English-Hebrew lexicons. :)

eh? Where did you get that from?

I'm working through a commentary on Mark, and opened it to re-read some of the text. My impression is that it captures more of the rough edges and immediacy of Mark than other translations that polish the English in a way that Mark's Greek is not.

I wondered if anyone else had looked at it.
