Start off with a three letter word. As a cooperative effort the objective is for each successive player to add a letter and form another word using these letters.
Once the biggest word has been reached we start over but record (preferably in a big bold noticeable type-face ) how many letters were achieved as well as the best score reached so far...and try later to beat it!
To determine if the biggest word has been reached will require either a joint decision by at least two people who have participated, in that round, a search through a dictionary text file, or at least 24 hours to pass with no new posts...(unless someone here has a better suggestion of course!)
Obviously it doesn't do much good to start with a word such as zen, or job, etc...
