Wikepedia defines the immune system as a collection of mechanisms within an organism that protects against infection by identifying and killing pathogens and tumor cells. It detects pathogens ranging from viruses to parasitic worms and distinguishes them from the organism's normal cells and tissues.

Here is my question. Why was man created with an immune system?

I don't seek spiritual answers because I am not a spirit being. I am a human being. I know there are lots of people who are trying to be spirits like the Most High but there are certain beings in the universe whose example I'd rather not emulate.

It is an interesting question I'll have to agree, but we all have to realize that not all of our questions will be answered while we are here on earth. Some answers will only come once we get to Heaven.

I'll have to think more about this one.

Let me modify the question. How does the fact that man was created with an immune system affect your view of man's condition when he was created?

Assuming that the story of Adam and Eve is the literal truth, why couldn't God have added the immune system after the fall?

there is no indication that God altered man (aside from the curses) after the fall. So can we not assume that the immune system was in place prior to sin? Likewise can we say that all the necessary plumbing was present for the body to get rid of waste prior to sin? If that is the case, what does that suggest?

I don't see why this was a such a big deal. I dunno, do people think that Adam and Eve walked around in a world in which things such as entropy and waste didnt exist?

For example, God made the earth good, but man still had the responsibility to take care of the earth or it would get all messy.

Likewise, I believe God made man perfect, however that didn't mean that parts of the man's body did not have to work to remain in full health. There's no biblical answer that I know of that would make you think it was any other way.

Why are we more willing to accept fanciful assumptions over realistic assumptions? There is no mention in Genesis of any curse that changes the human body but we are willing to suggest that God made man without an immune system, and the ONLY reason we would want to do that is to preserve ideas that man have developed about the original condition of man. What does that say about how honest we are in dealing with the Bible? Can we really call ourselves serious Bible students is we would rather accept the most implausible over the obvious to protect our doctrinal teachings?

I Think you are making lots of assumptions.

Basically, if Adam and Eve is literal truth, then God has changed stuff for current obersvations so much so that our science has no statements to make prior to these changes.

JM
Let us forget your overwhelming IF statement for a moment. What are you referring to when you suggest that "God has changed stuff for current obersvations so much?"
