• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together.   • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I watched a TV program the other day on suicide and it was sooo sad :( It was about a young boy (17) who took his life and how it affected sooo many ppl.. his death ripped so many peoples lives apart :cry:

We have to fight those evil lies from the devil that suicide is the answer to our pain

SUICIDE IS NOT THE ANSWER!!! :hug:

lets be accountable to each other and fight suicide!!

it is not ours to decide when we live or die! Jesus holds the keys to life and death!

I've been suicidal sooo many times and my dad took his life.. i know what it feels like.. sometimes i get scared that ill hurt myself.. but we absolutely CANNOT!!

suicide hurts sooo many ppl!! :cry: all the loved ones left behind...

lets fight suicide together!!!

lets all choose to LIVE!! :thumbsup:

I have had suicide attempts in the past, and my family were so upset. So was I... I had to go in the hospital for a week and they took my shoes away and my belt. It was scary. God is so good though. Through everything, He has helped me grow so much stronger, and I pray that everyone realize on here that Depression is a chemical imbalance and we can conquer over it. I feel as if I have thanks to God's almighty grace. Praise Him for His goodness, He is so great.

Don't give up. Please get help right away... It was so hard for me to go into that hospital, but once you do, it is like a burden is taken off of you. They take care of everything. They use the tools to help you feel better about life again.

please don't harm yourself.. we are all praying for you.. there is always always always a light at the end of the tunnel!!! :hug:

please talk to someone.. got check yourself into hospital (i did that once.. told them i was suicidal) or go see yr doctor or visit a friend..tell someone yr feeling this way so they can help and support you thru this difficult time

remember: suicide is a permanent end to temporary problems!

We have to remember that satan tricks all people all of the time, and we have to guard against his lies.

I spend alot of time feeling suicidal but I don't really feel like anyone cares anymore. Somedays are worse than others but I don't know how to deal with it, I tried getting myself admitted to hospital once but they just sent me home. The person I am seeing knows I have frequent suicidal thoughts but seems to be happy to just leave me...I am trying not to give in but how can i convince them that I need some help?

Hey lily, or anyone else for that matter, how do hospitals help you when we feel like this? Iv felt really suicidal before its scary. Feel free to PM me if you want, I guess its kind of a personal question :)

I was just wondering about other forms of help out there xx
