First, let me just say it's been awhile since I posted on Christian Forums, and I'm returning after months of harrassment on some video game message board. I think I only posted on this board once or twice though.
Anyway, I'm 29 years old with Asperger's. In high school, I was in the top 5% in math in the nation, but my abilities never amounted to anything, and I wasn't good at writing. I hated writing, in fact. However, after a year break from college (after a disappointing first semester), I began teaching myself how to write while attending college. Now I'm a better writer than I am at math. <_<
So, after 10 years of community college, I've finally moved on to a four year as a junior, with my major being journalism. My goal, my dream is to work for magazines dealing with parents of special needs children.
I didn't meet my first girlfriend until I was 23. I've only had three girlfriends, two of which relationships ended badly. My first, who also had Asperger's, cheated on me, though the distance was partially to blame, since we didn't see each other that much. The second belonged to Philadelphia Church of God, a cult, and she chose her church over me. My third (ex with spina bifida), however, ended due to miscommunication problems. My Asperger's and therefore lack of social skills were to blame for that one, I'm afraid. However, we managed to remain friends and I think we're closer than ever. Well, I guess that's it for now...
