Legal MP3s?

I know that the general consensus is that file sharing with Kazaa, etc. is stealing. So I want to ask if anyone here uses a subscription-type service to download MP3s.
I'd like to find a good subscription service that charges a monthly fee and allows downloads of legal MP3. Anyone know of any such services with a good (deep) catalogue of music?

iTunes is the most successful mp3 subscription service, and also allows the more freedome to use the songs however you like than most other services. I have read some wonderful reviews about it, and I am definitely holding out till it comes out for Windows. Can't wait

Hmm, buymusic.com is interesting, and they actually have some Christian artists. I think I'll give 'em a try.
Plus, iTunes looks good, for when it's available for Windows.

I'd be careful even with "subscription" based companies. Right now the RIAA is nailing people left and right. Your ISP is probably monitoring your downloads as well. Not to sound Orwellian, but I have friends who have gotten emails from their ISP's telling them to STOP their downloads from places like Kazaa, IRC and the likes. The ISP specified dates and times that my buds were downloading. They KNEW when and how large the download was.
