  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Have you wonder how our brains works? First of all, this is NOT a debate or argument about frunction of the brain. This is simply comments. So, don't go in and quote scriptures about the subject. I don't need anymore nagatives feedback from the board.

Anyway...Our left brain define logic and facts. I don't see nothing wrong with that. We all need every part of our brain. The left brain define what we see, hear, and touch. Everything that involved around this material world is our left brain thinker.

In the other hand, there's right brain thinker. People who love music, arts, and astrologers. These kind of people tense to use more of their imaginations. There imaginations take them beyond what they can see, hear, and touch. Hmmm...that's sound familiar. Its that what we call..FAITH?
I think that's why Jesus said; Lets little children comes unto me, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to people like them. Our children have very wild imaginations. Sometimes children see things that we cannot see and say the wises thing that even an adult cannot comprehend. When we grew up to adulthood, our mind lean toward left brain thinker. We only believe what we see and hear. Anything beyond is not logic or real. I pray that we love our Lord Jesus Christ like little children. And again, this is not a debate or an argument. If you have something to add on to what I said. You feel free to do so. Keep it positive, please.

May God blessed you and keep you safe in this Holiday celebration.

p.s. Don't forget to give thanks to HIM for all the great and wonderful things that HE blessed us with the past year.

Hee hee... I'm left handed!

Nah seriously, I think that both parts of the brain are really intertwined and really only contribute to small changes (based on handedness) such as in a... piece of music a right-hander would be more likely to base the piece around timing and a precise rhythm while a left-hander would be more likely to base the piece on what they think it should sound like by glancing at the notes rather than really concentrating on the timing.

Saying that, being left-handed does actually contribute to being able to think outside the box as can be seen through history (Da Vinci, Michaelangelo, Alexander the Great, Aristotle....) but I think this is not so much because we are prone to use a different side of the brain but rather that we are prone to be 'different'. I will try to explain a bit more... as we are 'different' so to speak this seems to create a change, like an automatic 'stand out from crowd' effect and lessens the shyness of coming up with new ideas as we are already used to being different... even if we are more often than not wrong. Does that make sense? So in short - don't pick a left-hander for a routine job! They will only try to think of a better way of doing it and get it wrong (probably)!

Oh I didn't explain... if you are left-handed you tend to be more right brained, if you are right-handed, you tend to be more left brained.... for some reason! I think that handedness is like a way of displaying 'dominancy' in a way over which brain side is stronger or something.

In that case, there would be far more left brained people than right-brained (since being right-handed is a dominant trait), and that's simply not the case. Sorry, but that idea doesn't hold water. [Also, I'm left handed, but have about equal brains.]

Actually, there are far more right-handed people than left-handed, I think it is something like 1 in 10 are left-handed.
