Then you must leave.

You leave me lonely
Gone without a word
You get up and walk away
A goodbye I never heard
Your gentle hugs surround me
But they are gone replaced by air
Your gentle kisses brush my lips
Projections caused by tears of my despair

You leave me lonely
And I curl up and cry
You walk away so easily
While I’m left alone and dry
The words of “I love you baby”
Linger in the breeze
The gentle love you showed me
Fades away when you do leave

But you must leave me lonely
Only a couple are we now
Alone I must accept
Your not mine until the vow
Your gentle touch must leave me
For it’s a gift not what I possess
Your loving embrace will surround me
Next time I lay upon your chest.

Ok, so a little about this poem. Its written to my boyfriend, and was written on a day that I felt really low after he left. God challenged me instead of dwelling on how alone I felt after my boyfriend left that evening, that I should write down how I felt. So this just came straight from my heart.
