when moses was delayed to come down from the presence of God up Sinai, the people of israel murmured to Aaron, what has become of this fellow? make us a go to go before us. So Aaron told them to take off their jewellry and bring them to him. and he made the golden bull.

God himself graved on both sides of the tables. but once down the mountain moses broke up the tablets when he saw his people worshipping the calf. because he was so angry. what a fierce anger?
