  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Samara was homeless and was raped by a man who pretended to be her friend. She felt alone and scared. She had no where to go and no home to protect her. She was starving often and cold. It was in Colorado that she was homeless. Samara one day saw a small Catholic church that was serving food and she went in and had some food. The nuns there were very kind to her and told her that God still loved her even though she was homeless and hurting. One nun was named Sister Mary and she gave Samara a beautiful bracelet off her own wrist. Samara put on the bracelet. It had light blue diamonds in it. It was very beautiful and special and made Samara feel beautiful again. Sister Mary explained to Samara that she could come to the church anytime to sit inside it and pray and that on Sunday their was a mass. Next to the church there was a beautiful lavender field. It was frozen for the winter but Sister Mary told Samara that in the summer time the field became beautiful and that the field was like Samara. That God would melt away the ice that covered her life. Sister Mary let Samara stay in a women's shelter near the church and every day Samara got better and healed. Samara became a Catholic and thanked God for Sister Mary's kindness and protection.
