Also the most popular threads were listed.

Are these functions still available ?

Clicking on the word "Forums" at the top of the page (next to 'Christian Forums') will bring up a complete list of threads with the newest at the top.

I think the 'Hot' button (top left) is equivalent to the old 'Trending Topics'.

You can also change which category is displayed as default when clicking on "Forums" at the top. For example, if you want to keep an eye on "New Posts" you can click on "Set default" at the top right and it will immediately go to "New Posts" when pressing the Forums-button.
