Do any of you feel that you are past 50 and it has taken this long to discover what you should be doing with your life? I feel like a 20-something, just starting out. If this has been your experience, please share it.

My experience is: I'm 57 and I think I just discovered my career. God has lead me through one trial after another guiding me and strengthening me. He has been giving me insights and discoveries. He has healed and straightened out my mind and directed me on a path to discovering a new way to write computer programs. He has allowed me to see how to include meaning in programming, and he has given me the opportunity to build up the tools to do that. He has guided me through psychological healing, and has helped me with diagnosis of my difficulties. I feel that I am close to being ready to do what he built me for. And it took 57 years to do it so far. I feel like a 20-something, just starting out.

My grandfather used to say: "Kids don't have any sense until they're 40, and then it's too late!"

Col. Sanders was a failure at almost everything he tried, until he started his chicken restaurant when he was 65.

After years of Bible study I was led to nutrition and health studies. I was healed of chronic illness. I eat a primarily plant based, whole grain, low sodium diet. I used to design simple web pages using an obsolete HTML WYSIWYG editor that is no longer supported by Windows. This year I wanted design and load a new web page to one of my webs. God led me to find the free HTML editor Blue Griffon. I learned enough of it in a few days to format my page and then loaded it to my web domain.

Your post is giving me much hope. I am 50 and in a job that I have no passion for, but feared being to old to start something new. Seeing your post has energized me to get more serious in pursuit of a new job/career/calling that I can have a passion for and excites me every day.
Thanks!
