Anyone live in the Lake Louise Area?

I live in Vancouver now, I'm going on a road trip there next week. It's gorgeous! I love the skiing, hiking, rock climbing, and sight seeing. I used to do day trips to Louise for the skiing when I was going to the U of A (Edmonton), which was probably a dangerous and stupid thing to do, but seemed like fun at the time...

I didn't think that a lot of people lived there, instead they commuted in from Canmore. Are you living there now?

No, I am headed there to work for the summer

My sister lived there as a liftie for a while and loved the experience, but she had to live in a storage cupboard because rent was so high. Hope you find a good place so you can enjoy the town properly.

I have some good friends in Canmore.

Hopefully your summer job includes accommodations (most do it seems).

Yeah, the job comes with accommodations, which is a really, really good thing

Well I'm hoping to make a trip out that way this summer... though I don't know if we'll go right to lake louise. We want to hike the Johnston Canyon and see the ink pots, and camp out in that direction. Should be fun! (as long as the area isn't inundated with fires like last year!)

Best coffee in the world is at Lagan's Deli in the village... I only wish that I lived there... but I try to get out that way every summer for some climbing and hiking.
