• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

We all have needs but as Christian some can't be met. We need food and exercise and water and love , etc, for a healthy life but masturbation is not a need to sustain life. I don't believe women deny sexual need but we can't act on everything we think we need. I don't believe that God expects us to have free reign on our needs or his laws are out the window. How much of the word can you deny before you become a non follower of Jesus Christ?

Well Scripture says nothing about kinks, child inappropriate contentography, threesomes, etc. But that does not make those things permissible. I mean, look into Christian history and tradition. Sola Scriptura as an excuse is a huge problem. So can we get back to the ladies discussing this issue or are you going to continue to disrespect the wishes of the op?

Much in scripture you need to read between the lines. There is much on sexual depravity in the word. inappropriate content stimulates and anyone wishing to keep their mind and body clean should stay away from it. As the word says, best to marry then fall into that pit. In my words. It leads to all kinds of depravity. Practicing sin.

On kinks, you have to consider context. If a kink is being used outside of the context of marriage then it's sin since fornication and adultery to begin with are sin. If within marriage...
Hebrews 13:4
4 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
If it's loving, if it's within the context of a married couple.. well.. doesn't seem to be sin. Threesomes.. that's either fornication or adultery.. so sin.
and on children...
Matthew 18:6
6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

But I'll leave, I just wanted to address the first response, since that's a common Christian issue and posture.

Firstly, I'm going to assume you're single (not that married people don't or shouldn't touch from time to time).
I don't see it as wrong. It is YOUR sexuality on your own, no lust about others. I would only be mindful about where your thoughts go and if they do wander to other people (specific actual people), or if you're verbalizing particularly kinky words or concepts that could be called unholy, or if it became an addiction, or something you make priority above God and responsibilities.
There is nothing wrong with you for doing this imo.
