Name: Lachlan MacBrayer (pronounced: Lock-lahn)
Nickname: Lachie (Lock-ee)
Age: 18
Race: In this case, human
Gender: Male

Relations:
Barr Stromness - father
Aileen Stromness - mother
Lachina - sister (twin)
Alison - sister
Kirsty - sister

Ability: Lachlan is a psychic, or, at least, that's what he's supposed to be. No one is entirely certain as to whether he actually has the ability to divine information, or if he is just hyper-observant. Seer or not, he can be impressively knowledgeable at times (and other times, he's wrong, and kind of embarrassing to be around). As a psychic, he can't really control what he learns, but as a person, he's a decent detective.

Appearance: Lachlan stands proportionally around 5'10 in feet, a good foot shorter than his father. Thus far, Lachie has grown very gradually, developing at a rather slow pace, but it is expected that, as his father before him, he will bloom late, probably reaching his father's height. Lachlan has a strong build, just as his father, and is rather burly in stature for a man of his age. You see, he is aware of his father's size, and intends to surpass him upon reaching his full height. He isn't nearly as intimidating in appearance as his father, but is still strong enough, that, were he not so dependent on his cane, he might make an attacker think twice.
Like his father, Lachlan possesses two, deep blue eyes, that, unlike his father's, probably do perceive everything about a beast. In addition to the dissimilar perception, Lachlan maintains the use of both of his eyes, whereas his father is completely blind in one eye. The only downside that Lachie can find to this is that he doesn't get the privilege of wearing the eye patch, which, at least in his eyes, makes anyone looker more intimidating.
His hair is a ruddy, light brown color. He keeps it short, verging on a crew cut, and "spikes" it, so to speak.
Lachlan is unable to walk very well, still recovering from a failed surgery intended to heal a wound that would have otherwise confined him to a wheelchair. Instead, the young man uses a cane to provide the necessary support. Until the muscles in his left leg are properly healed, he will be incapable of walking with much ease, let alone running at all. But on the bright side, he has painted an "awesome" design on his cane resembling flames, based at the bottom section. Now, he occasionally calls himself "Dr. House."

Personality: Outwardly, Lachlan appears to be a carefree, optimistic, somewhat obnoxious person. But on the inside, he is...well...pretty much exactly that. Although this, of course, is not always the case, as everybody shows different sides, it does describe Lachie's general attitude. He prefers to keep something of an optimistic outlook and achieves this by attempting to take virtually nothing seriously. This behaviour mainly consists of the frequent placement of various random remarks between the sentences of a more relevant dialogue, especially those in which he is not included intentionally. The reactions he receives from doing so are negative, as would be expected, but for some reason, probably one similar to that of a mischievous child who enjoys splattering pudding on the wall or his oblivious friend, he quite finds the reactions amusing. Despite this blatant disregard for etiquette in speech and/or the thoughts of the general public, Lachlan manages to maintain a certain level of respect, though whether through goodhearted intentions or sheer intellectual efficiency as a seer remains uncertain. That he lacks the solemn demeanor of his father, however, is an understatement.

Inwardly, Lachlan can be a far more serious individual. Like his father before him, he is a very stubborn, determined person. When he has set his mind on something, it cannot be unset. Hand in hand with this stubbornness is his presumably inherited overprotective side that, also like his father's, can take the form of an overly-controlling one. Overall, Lachie is very much like his father, but acts otherwise.

Another exception to this similarity is the difference between their minds. His father is simply a sensible, relatively normal individual in reference to the mind, but Lachlan is slightly different. Rather than settle for average, he constantly tries to develop his mind beyond that of a typical boy of his years. However, he is not as eccentric about his studies as other such people, and rather prefers to learn neither the easy nor the difficult way, but instead the fun way. For instance, he learned of the nature of gravity at the age of five by tossing pastries upward in such a way that they would land on his sister -- this ultimately resulted in what she and Lachlan would come to know as the "pastry incident." To learn about the nature of more sentient beings (i.e., people), he will ask a few questions, and watch their features and habits as they answer, all the while saying the strangest of things in order to play with their minds. Somehow or another, Lachie will finish the conversation knowing possibly more about the one to whom he was speaking than his/her friends might know. If anything, Lachlan can learn of any and almost every secret faster than anyone his father knows of.
As mentioned before, Lachie has also been gifted with a photographic memory. This is similar to Alison's "identic tonal memory," per se, but rather than remembering sounds, pitches, tones, and such, Lachie remembers images, colors, patterns, and basically anything he sets his eyes on.

History: I don't really want to get too in-depth, though mostly because I'm a bit too lazy to write a full-length history after all that.

In a brief summary: Lachlan was born on the same day as his sister, and both were raised in interesting ways. Lachlan was raised to notice everything in general, as well as remember most of it, and his sister was raised in such a way that she could be called a human polygraph. Their younger sister, Alison, was trained to remember and imitate whatever she heard, though sounds of a lower pitch weren't exactly her forte. At the age of eight, Lachlan began to act like a psychic, "divining" things that someone of his age really shouldn't be able to notice. After a while, his family began to suspect that he truly was a seer, but only his sister, the lie-detector, ever knew the truth, yet she never told anyone what it was. Lachlan has kept everyone guessing since.
He had worked as a psychic detective (summer job) for two years when the FBI found him, and offered him a better deal. It was difficult to tell if he was 'psychic' enough to be considered a mutant, but then again, he did start a psychic hotline, and proceed to call everyone involved in the Mutant FBI. His training should begin soon.

Other: He has a bit of an accent, having been raised by two parents, one of which is Scottish.
Oh, and did mention that his family's loaded with more money than they can handle? Lachlan didn't really need to work for a living, but his parents felt that he should be hard-worker like the rest of the world. Having been raised by those same two parents, this isn't difficult at all for him -- he's probably worked harder than most his age. Taking a job as a (sort of) detective simply meant that he could be paid for it.
