What a movie! Has anyone else seen it yet?

I didn't know what it was totally about before watching it. 25% through the movie I started getting chills. I didn't know why at first. It was very thrilling! I think Nick did a great job. Many people don't like his acting but I enjoy mostly everything he does. I normally can't see anyone else playing the roles he play.

Loved the end with the kids!

Not at all, it was a brilliant allegorical ending and I'm so happy it happened the way it did. I tire of these "one man can save the world" movies that keep coming out.

This movie was decent, but not great. Good effects, but pretty standard, predictable ufo mythology. And they could have done a better job casting the lead.....

I think it's meant for people to take it however they want. I see a movie about aliens and the destruction of the planet by natural occurances. Someone else sees angels, sin, believing in God and Revelations unfolding. It is just a movie so it means whatever you want it to mean.

Great FX (really liked the plane), but it felt like 2001: A Space Odyssey without the stuff that make Kubrick's film good. Not having ANY absolute themes is bad for a film.

I loved this movie. I thought it was really well made and I loved the story behind it.

One thing I loved about it was that man wasn't able to save himself. There was nothing that they could do.

I saw this one a while back and really enjoyed it. It is open to interpretation though as to what you get from the film. Personally, I viewed the story as more religious than about aliens. I saw the beings at the end as more angels but understand that others see them as aliens. But, if you think about it, angels would look alien to us since we don't see them everyday and know what exactly they would look like. I just thought it was a pretty thought provoking movie.
