It is vital that we know our enemy. We must not be ignorant of Satan or his devices. He is the mastermind behind all evil in the world. He is the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who works in the sons of disobedience. He is the god of this world who can blind the minds of unbelievers, and who can change the patterns and structures of society so fast that they are left bewildered and depressed.
He is the angel of light who works through false teachers and false prophets. He is the father of lies. Who will cause you, if he can to deny God's Word; to question God's love, to disbelieve God's faithfulness.
He is a roaring lion who can spring sudden and fierce attacks so that we are startled by overwhelming depression that pins us down, or by overpowering of lust, greed, anger, jealousy, ambition, resentment, that leaves us wounded and helpless.
