Knitters and crocheters! (And those willing to learn )

I am in need of your help! I'm looking to take up a collection of prayer scarves to distribute at an orphanage the youth group I volunteer for visited during our April service project/mission trip. It's in Slovakia, and it gets reeeeally cold in the winter.

What is a prayer scarf?
Simple! While you knit/crochet, just pray for the child who will receive the scarf.

Since this is just run entirely by me, I'm not going to impose any specifications. However, I recommend a size of 4-7 inches wide and around 60" long. Anything at all though, is more than appreciated though. Amateurs and experenced yarnworkers alike are encouraged to participate.

When you have one finished, just pm me and I'll give you my address to mail it to. There are no time restraints; this is an ongoing project. I'll be mailing packages of scarves and taking a few to the orphanage myself. Since there is a constant flow of children, this won't be ending for a while.

I warned you, the quality wouldn't be great, but here it is!
This is the one I finished the other day. It's hunter green, with hunter and black fringe.

And here's the fluffy burgundy one (SOO soft, I almost want to keep it for myself!)

And, just for show-offs, here's my baby blanket I'm working on. I have a really cute blue and yellow winnie-the-pooh border for it, too!

And that's it for current projects (UFOs not included--- like any other knitter, they'd take up this whole thread! lol)

Here's the finished burgundy scarf! I knit a little hole in it to tuck the other end into. My mom loved it, and it's her birthday today, so I went ahead and gave it to her. I'm starting on a snake scarf that is too cute! Will post pics when I get more of it done.

As many as possible. It's a fairly large orphanage. By the way, that green one is beautiful! What kind of yarn did you use? And the ribbing is very well done.

Thank you Munch. It is made from Scheepjeswool. I think it's a wool/acrylic blend.
