Name: Jadir al Anwar

Age: 40

Height: 5'10"

Weight: 175

Occupation: King of Union

Appearance: Jadir is tall, fit, and fair-skinned, handsome in a regal sort of way. His eyes are a deep blue and the beginnings of "crow's feet" are appearing at the edges, a couple lines in his brow and around his mouth beginning to take hold as well. But these, along with his rather square jaw and thin mouth, only serve to make him more ruggedly handsome. His hair is a dark golden blonde that hangs in neatly-trimmed waves about his forehead, ears, and neck. He has a few gray hairs here and there, but hardly noticeable against his already fair colored hair. He sports a close-cropped light brown mustache and goatee on his otherwise clean-shaven face. Jadir doesn't wear any fancy jewelry, preferring to keep his appearance simple and not gaudy. The only jewelry he wears is his signet ring on the index finger of his right hand and, of course, his gold wedding band on his left hand. He rarely wears his crown unless holding council or holding court, wearing the royal robes instead as a mark of his status.

Personality: Jadir is a simple man. He loves his country and its people, and sometimes worries too much over affairs of the state, trying to keep up with everything and make sure his people are cared for, his allies happy, and his enemies at bay. He rarely shows emotion in front of others, especially when it comes to showing affection for his wife, Kaira. Though he loves her deeply, his affections are better shown behind closed doors, maintaining a sense of propriety in front of his subjects. He's good-natured, kind, and understanding...but he is also not a man to be crossed. He takes betrayel very seriously and any lawbreaking is severly punished under his rule. He has a hatred for necromancy and does whatever he can to root it out from his kingdom. He's steady, strong, and has a soft yet stern demeanor about him that ensures even his lightest touch commands obedience.

Bio: Jadir was never meant to be king. His older brother, Josaiah, was in line before him. Because of that, Jadir was allowed to do many of the things Josaiah was not, as future king. Including entering the army when he was eighteen. He had studied for a few years under a retired General and had learned well the art of war. Upon entering the armed forces, he was given a high rank, of course, but went to battle like any other soldier just the same. Because he was not afraid to risk his life for his country and his people, he became very well-liked among the citizens of Namor. He built quite a name for himself and enjoyed his life as an officer, rising in the ranks, proving he was more than just a prince, but a warrior as well.

And then one day when he was twenty-three years old...news reached him that Josaiah had fallen gravely ill with a wasting disease of the lungs. The situation was dire and nothing could be done. He headed for home immediately, but returned too late to say goodbye to his brother. After the funeral, his parents immediately began preparing him to take over in his brother's stead as future king of Union. His life was caught up in a whirlwind of change, the two most drastic changes in his life being that he was no longer allowed to be in the army...and that he was immediately engaged to a beautiful noblewoman named Kaira mel Clover, a mere child of sixteen. He married her at the age of twenty-four, only having met her once before their wedding day. He became king two years later when his father succumbed to his ailing pancreas that had been bothering him for many years. Though he was forced into the position of king by his brother's death, his time in the military out among his people had given him the traits necessary to be a good king. And he has been. And even though he did not love Kaira at the time he married her, he did respect her. And gradually, through the years, as she stood faithfully by his side as his queen, he grew to appreciate her, and then like her; and finally, Jadir allowed himself to love her and cherish her. And today, he is more deeply in love with her than he knows he ever could have been with another woman.
