That's because it is everyone's version of this women that's being discussed. I don't think she is all that interesting myself.I can't believe we're on page 17 of this topic. lol
not wanting to get off topic here but the way quotes are cut off after the ist generation has caused more than one instance of confussion.Okay, I'm going to respond to you as though you were an honest correspondent who just got mixed up in the thread.
In my post #309 I said:
In your post #320, you quoted my post #309 and said:
My response to your post #320 was post #322, which said:
And then you respond with post #339:
Now, maybe you just got confused in the thread and thought you were responding to someone else. I'll leave it at that.
Paul, Greg never would promote sodomy; he has criticized the way some Orthodox Christians have (on Facebook, etc.) put Kim Davis on a pedestal, so to speak. That doesn't mean he promotes sodomy, and yes I have read every post. All of us on TAW believe strongly in the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman, and we all deny the validity of a marriage between two people of the same sex.Why don't you take your own advice and read posts properly? It takes no great leap of the imagination to view someone who expresses contempt for a woman witnessing to an immemorial and very basic Christian belief that Adam and Steve don't make a married couple, and indeed for contempt for that witness, as endorsing sodomy. You are in effect saying that the second largest Christian denomination in the world is not mainstream. Because same-sex 'marriage' certainly is not. If anyone is an interloper here, it is you.

Is it making her a hero or personifying themselve in her. You're right, we don't need to talk about Kim, for this tread was never actually about Kim the person, but Orthodox people making her out to be a hero/martyr.

Just peeking in - the thread still goes on! I see at least one mention of the initial point, and a bit of apparent misunderstanding as well.
I have to agree with Obi-Wan though ...
