That is why, when I meditate deeply, I focus on God or one of His attributes. Silencing the mind of Earthly desires so as to focus on God. A Taoist focuses on the source of life: That could be interpreted as God. If you take it from that perspective, it is what you focus on while in meditation. On the contrary, I think that when a Christian empties their mind of worldly things, their Lord is what rushes to fill it.
