CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Kent Hovind is an ambulatory joke who makes Christianity look bad, doesn't understand science, and is a convicted felon to boot. So no, I have better things to do with my time, myself.

As for your comment on science. I think he has some pretty good stuff. I think a lot of science is political, and is based off of faith/miracle concepts.

No, really. You can take a college biology class for yourself and see that it's all garbage.
It isn't in the slightest. People who are in the sciences professionally and do anything like that get viciously shredded by their colleagues.

Hovinds stuff just opened me up to other parts of it. Like I said a l lot of this science has to do with money and politics so I don't take it seriously.

It is quite possible that Matthew was the "Kent Hovind" of Jesus' disciples.
In any event, Saul of Tarsus would make Kent Hovind look like a Boy Scout.

What if I told you I could show you that Hovind is a liar without you even having to accept any science that you don't agree with? Literally no scientific interpretation necessary.
Would it change your opinion of him? I mean, the courts have already shown him to be a liar.
