God gave me this message today about the quality and goodness of Christain life and how to keep that, its what i need to hear for my life.
its good, i pray youll follow through it and try to hear to see if the Lord is speaking the same to you.
hebrews 3.6
but Christ as a son over his own house; WHOSE HOUSE ARE WE, IF we hold fast the confidence and rejiocing... firm unto the end.
there is a place in Christ! but God IF... IF... there is an IF in christ!
there is a beautiful blessed confidence, joy, peace, happiness, goodness, sweetness, that flows from the presence of God in our lives, and we must ever hold firm to this. the great need is, to stop just taking trips to Gods goodness... and learn how to stay there, abide there.
like the great smith wigglesworth cried out and tried to help people understand, he said we need to learn to "abide" in the presence and place of Gods annointing.
there is an annointing that flows from God, that does not depend on your mental persistence or making up your mind.
so many people trade the powerful assistance of the holyghost, for mental processes, they continually try to "make up their mind" about Christ and their place in him. they think its all about their attitude.
BUT GLORY! THERE IS A PLACE THAT DOESNT NEED THE MIND!
when you learn how to worship God and stay in his presence and feel and flow in the annointing of the holyspirit, confidence, happiness, joy, contentment, satisfaction, they all flow freely out of your spirit!
THERE IS JOY IN CHRIST! GOODNESS IN CHRIST! PEACE AND HAPPINESS AND BOLDNESS IN CHRIST!
BUT THERE IS AN IF! IF...!
we have to keep this, hold firmly to it! dont let it go.
the way to stay firm and strong in Christ throughout life, is to hold fast, hold strong to goodness and of Christ, stay in the place where those blessed joys and peace and satisfaction are filling your spirit, from the throne, not just from you keeping the right attitude.
God does, we dont doit.
but we have to keep this, it can be lost, those feelings of joy and peace and boldness can drift away, we can lose them.
luke 5.38
but new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved.
there is a specific way of handling that new wine requires or it can be lost.
the same goes for the goodness and joy in our relationship with Christ!
THERE IS A JOY THAT WONT BE BEATEN!
THERE IS A PEACE THAT WONT BE WORRIED!
THERE IS A FAITH THAT WONT BE SHAKEN!
THERE IS A BOLDNESS THAT WONT BE FRIGHTENED!
AND THEY COME THE FROM HOLYGHOST! THE ANNOINTING OF CHRIST!
and they flow from the heart and spirit of a man,
as we live our lives accordingly,
im not asking you to wrap your minds around this and try to reshape your lives psycologically and mentally and physically and try to replicate this in your flesh.
i just want us all to get a burden in our hearts for daily prayer, daily worship, daily meditation alone with God, we all need a daily secret place where we can go to be alone with him, hear from him, recieve from him, pour our selves out before him, get emotional with him.
Because IF! IF WE DONT! WE CAN LOSE THIS PRECIOUS GOODNESS THAT COMES FROM CHRIST!
we must stay in him!
so we can stay in the place of the presence of God,
the scripture says "confidence and REJOICING!"
to have fresh confidence YOU NEED FRESH PRAISE!
to have fresh joy, YOU NEED FRESH PRAISE!
to have fresh peace, YOU NEED FRESH PRAYER!
WE NEED FRESH PRAISE AND FRESH PRAYER! THIS IS WHY WE NEED A SECRET PLACE EVERYDAY!
lets put on the new wine skin today! and keep it on, lets stay in the place of Gods presence, so the joy isnt lost, the peace isnt lost, the boldness isnt lost, YOU CAN LOSE IT!
you can find yourself slipping away into athiesm!
you can find yourself slipping into depression!
slipping into anger and hatred and malice!
if you we dont hold firm to the secret place, where we can always stay fresh and full of the goodness of God!
