Hello, I am very new to this forum, I hope that this is the right place for this specific question.

I am a huge fan of the band Keane, and the frontman Tom Chaplin's solo work. I really like their songs, many of which are meaningful to me.

I was just thinking about their stance on Christianity, and Tom Chaplin has said "For the sake of simplicity, I am agnostic." He does believe in god, but does not believe in some Christian beliefs, such as heaven and hell, and has sometimes expressed a stance against religion.

I was just wondering if it is normal or okay to be such a fan of them, when they take this stance on Christianity?

Thanks for your time

Sam

I love that bad, too! But it's ok to still be a fan of them as a Christian. Musicians tend not to be the kind of people you want to emulate, anyway. I would just enjoy the music and ignore the beliefs unless they make themselves present in a song.

Thanks for the response! I do think that he means well and wants to see the world become a better place. Your point will definitely help me, as long as I keep my beliefs and don't let what he believes lead me from that, there should be no problem. Thanks again!
