That 'voice' isn't even synced to her lip movements for goodness sake. I don't much like Katy Perry's music but it doesn't sound like her voice either. Please don't take YouTube videos as 'gospel'. Anyone with a computer can create something like this - and it looks like they did.

So do you also think that Eminem or other rap artists kill people or rape women?

You can't "sell your soul to the devil". That's just a saying as a comparison to maybe giving up on what she believes for example, selling out to a record company (the evil, the devil) or whatever.

Don't take things literally.

I wanted to add that the music industry is really using alot of satanic imagery lately as well. Kesha, madonna and a few others. The tin foil hat wearing folks think this illuminati stuff. Some music we as Christians should definitely avoid! Im a musician and a BIG MUSIC FAN. But i think its important what we put in our ears, eyes etc. Wwjd? Would HE approve of this song i enjoy?? Some bands i have stopped listening too. But i no hardcore Christians that listen to NO sec music. Thats overboard imho.

I sorta stopped listening to anything that glorifies drugs, sex, rebellion. Or bands that are darker. Radiohead, pink Floyd, certain albums by The Who. The sex pistols. Nirvana.

My two fav Who cds, i quit listening to. Both glorify sin! But theres still much secular music that i find Jesus would not mind. Most peter gabriel, one hit wonders from the 70s. I love musicals. Pete Townshend solo, The Clash. Im older so...I just gave up things that i felt Jesus would not approve. This includes comedians George Carlin, bill hicks and southpark. Pastor Bob Beeman is a great hard rocker, yet a wonderful Christian teacher. He has long hair and is totally metal. Hes very open-minded and shares the gospel well! Youtube for some interesting teaching about controversial subjects. He often answers questions about music. God Bless You!

Yes, no morals! I just skimmed through steven tylers biography. Wow! Decadent, hedonistic, very immoral. Jim morrison too. Or the stones. Nirvana. Im not to hip to whats going on today in music. But it may be true that satan has used rock-n-roll for corruption of youth.

1-I agree. Those bands are good, but their songs are too dark and depressing. Not good music to have a steady diet of.

2-Yes, I stopped listening to Bill Hicks, George Carlin too. With regards to music, I stopped listening to King Diamond/Mercyful fate, because almost all of their songs glorify demonic stuff.

Some Christians say that Iron Maiden is an evil band, because one of their songs is "number of the beast", and a few of their songs mention stuff like that, but those are only a small minority of their songs; the vast majority of their songs sing about literature, history, mythology, stuff like that. I think they're okay to listen to-some of their songs. Their singer has a good operatic voice. I also like Bob Marley and System of A Down (my top few favorite secular bands). The bands you mentioned are cool too-especially the Clash. I dislike most punk rock, but they are a good band.

Pastor Bob Beeman will take any question and share his thoughts. From can you lose salvation, to should we listen to secular music. One sermon was ," why does satan have all the good music." Im getting a brain-freeze, but he is not afraid to tackle any hard questions. Hes a long hair metal guy. A confessed virgin and i really like him. He has a twitter, FB, YT channel. Actually, id like your opinion on him. Hes very grace orientated. But hes no dummy! Hes about 60 now and hes walked w the Lord his whole life.
