Bio: Kabira was born and raised in the Hakib tribe, where both women and men did their share of the hunting. When they reached the age of 18, they were tested on their hunting skills, and given a mark signifying they had reached adulthood if they succeeded. Kabira easily passed that test, and has the mark of the tribe on her upper arm…a snake entwined around an arrow. When she was around 17, some Attolian people came to her tribe and taught them the Attolian language. This has helped Kabira and her tribe during barter and trade with ships passing by. She always dreamt about serving on a ship as part of the crew, ever since she sailed around her home land in a ship that gave her the chance to learn how to sail.

Years later, on that fateful day she went hunting, she left her tribe in peace. When she returned, she found many of the houses on fire, and many tribe members missing. Upon seeing the crew of a slave ship attempt to grab some members of her tribe, she put up a valiant fight to free them, but was subdued by three strong men. She was deprived of her weapons, and hustled aboard a ship, where she was chained with people from her tribe and others. For the next several years, they were worked hard and given whatever jobs the crew did not want to do themselves. Many members of her tribe died from illness, exhaustion, or injuries. Kabira served the slavers for several years, her anger burning deep within, her soul longing for freedom.
