the Armageddon never occured in 1975, I don't think that the JWs today will knew about The Watchtower Society in the past, in Shortly.....the Present JWs are not in the generation 1975.

Any comment ?
Must have been harsh to be expecting something better to come.. and having to keep waiting. This one's heart goes out to them and their struggles.

It's a very interesting article.

I personally feel sorry for the Jehovah's Witnesses as they seem incredibly misguided in my opinion. However, they have a right to their own beliefs regardless of how misguided they may be. One major complaint I have against the Jehovah's Witnesses is that if they have a child who will die unless that child receives a blood transfusion, many times they'd rather let the child die than to give the child the life saving blood transfusion because their religion teaches that blood transfusions are bad.

Did you read the last part of the News article?

The reporter states that the WBTS never said 1975 was the start of Armagedon or the end of the world.

Like so many things misunderstanding led to many thinking that is what was meant. Just like now many claim JWs can't go online. Gossip and things passed on by word of mouth

Ever play the game where someone says something to the person next to them and they pass it to the person next to them and see what happens when it comes back to you after it being passed by word of mouth around the room?
You probablly won't even recognize it anymore.

The scriptures say to "fear not those who kill the body but can not destroy the soul but rather fear him that can destroy both body and soul"
Death is to be done away with and we are to be resurrected to a better life so why fear death. I will never take a blood transfusion I will never knowingly take any blood products into my body. Now if I believe it to be wrong and a sin against he who can destroy both body and soul why would I have any of my family sin against my GOD.
Blood has spiritual meaning and is sacred the OT held it thus and in the NT we are told to refrain again from blood.

If a person really has faith in their God and his promises should they go against his commands any of them. What will be forgiven? Murder, Rape, Stealing, What about the small things like fornication lying some people try to categorize what will be forgiven and what won't but the Bible lists them all the same and people doing them won't inherit the kingdom. Where do we draw the line? Is it where it is convenient for us? I can lie but I can't murder? I can murder but not a blood transfusion? I can have a blood transfusion but not steal?
My Faith tells me not to do any of the above. I work with a guy who is a "good christian" his conscience allows him to get drunk regularly smoke pot and bed every woman he can but he would never steal or murder. I can't judge him. Do I think he is doing wrong ? yes.
