I used to work at a Salvation Army Thrift Store.
One thing that troubled me was the type of books and vidios that where being sold in the store.
R rated moves and smut books seem to be sold without question.
I remember point this out to the manager one afternoon after looking at a Romance Book cover which carried a quotation "From his office into his bed". When I asked why we sold such trash books. She just walked away without a word.
When I question the selling of R. movies she said she would check with the office. She came back later to say that the office had said to pull them from the shelves. A week later they were back on the shelf and I was told that one of the other employees was going to check them. To my knowledge nobody checked them there after.
I have noticed the same type of material in other SA Thrift Stores, so I guess money is more important than the morals that the Army is suppose to be teaching over the pulpit and backed up by the Bible.
