  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It looks like a run-of-the mill romantic comedy like Fever Pitch or Fifty First Dates or whatever. I could take it or leave it, but my wife will be all over it. Scratch that: I might go see it just to see what Jon Heder is up to post-Napoleon.

By post #10 in this thread someone will mention that they aren't going to watch it because it's about a ghost and ghosts are demonic.

From the reviews I've read, both Reese and Mark (main actors) could've done much better than they did, although the critic(s) couldn't decide if that was their fault or the directors. Thought that was interestingly funny.

Seems like a cute movie if you're in the mood for it. I have a friend and she's been insisting on dragging me to it since a week before it came out. To quote a post before me, "I could take it or leave it." I don't usually jump on the romantic comedies...not really my thing, but if it's really good I'm all over it.

I wil agree that I'm quite interested to see how John Heder does in this movie...

I like Mark Ruffalo, if that was spelled right. I don't mind Reese Witherspoon... John Heder should be interesting. I can't stand most romantic comedies unless they have actors I like... like John Cusack ;). We'll see... it looks alright
