  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I had to go to labor and delivery tonight because I was having what I thought were contractions. I called the dr on call and she said that since I'm having twins, I needed to get in right away. I had to get my friend to take me since my kids were asleep and my husband had to stay home. They hooked me up to the moniters, but there was hardly any uterine activity, they then did an ultrasound to check my cervix- I was there about two hours and they released me and told me since I'm having twins, they're expecting me to come many more times. I had to get my husband to wake the kids and pick me up. I still can't go to bed yet because the kids haven't gone back to sleep. I'm so tired

Ah, kiddo you and I were in the same boat last night. I too called my doctor because I thought I was having contractions and the baby was moving all over the place. Turned out the very minimal uterine cramping was from a bladder infection.

I hope you feel better soon!

Well, at least yours was something. I completely wasted my insurance on it and I've been trying to keep this pregnancy as cheap as possible. With twins they watch you like a hawk and always check just to make sure. Hope you also feel better soon

Firsttimemom~ I'm having boy/girl twins. Congrats on your first pregnancy and yes it's more normal to have health problems during pregnany especially pre-eclampsia- there's not really much you can do to prevent it, you're especially at risk your first pregnancy I just hope you don't end up with it; eats lots of protein though, I heard that helps. Also try and rest as much as possible

Going because you think is a problem is not a waste. Sure, we'd like to keep pregnancies cheap, but hun you are having twins, that is going to be a hard feat. Besides, what if it was something and you didn't go? Most problems like pre-term labor etc are stopped best when caught early.

I felt a little silly too because they looked at me like a dork because I didn't know what a contraction feels like.
