  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hello
I don't know everything about all the different denominations and things myself so I've been looking in the congregation section of CF. At the top of each sub forum there's often an FAQ thread or similar explaining about that denomination. I've found these helpful or you could also ask in each subforum for someone to explain to you what that denomination believes. Hope this helps.

A Christian is one who sincerely loves and follows Lord Jesus Christ throughout his/her life.

However, Christians differ in opinions from one another based on the differences in interpreting the Bible. Each denomination or group have doctrines of their own which they have felt right as per their understanding of the Bible.

As we grow in Christ and move about in Christendom, we can make out the differences in the doctrines and understand both their advantages and drawbacks.
