I was just thinking of all of you going through this first tough holiday and wanted to let you know we're praying for you. I hope not too many people said, HAPPY Thanksgiving. I remember how much that annoyed me as it was not a happy one at all. I pray the Lord has comforted those who need comfort, and healed those who need healed. I pray all of you found something to be joyful and thankful about on this holiday. God bless you.

Actually things went well for us. We had a really close couple that invited us over for Thanksgiving Dinner. We played touch football that afternoon and then sit out on the porch and ate pecan pie with ice cream. We just sorta sat and watched the sun set while the kids ran wild in the yard. Old time visiting as my mom would could call it. The only thoughts I had of Ginger was of how she didn't have to deal with this world anymore. Like the old song; "...the angels becon me from heaven's open door and I can't be at home in this world anymore...". I remember how she was so sick last Thanksgiving. I rejoice that she doesn't have to put up with this rotten world anymore. Our midweek church service was about removing the things in our lives that hinder us from being thankful to God for our many many blessings. That night I tried to do just that, think of what complaints I had and why I couldn't be more thankful for what God has done for me and my kids. I even started counting my blessings one by one until I lost count.
Hope all of you made it through ok. Now I just have a sweet 16 b'day party and Christmas next.

It's so refreshing to see someone who knows how blessed their loved one is since they passed. What a glorious Thanksgiving they have every day in our Master's hands! They are the lucky ones, for sure. I'm glad you and the kids got through this first hurdle. All things are possible through Christ Jesus, and you certainly do know that. God bless.
