What if all religions and beliefs are right?

The world was created in many different ways?

I don't know how to describe this so you will understand, but I'll try my best.

Let's say every religion is a computer and operatingsystem.
Paganism is Macintosh, Christianity is Microsoft, Buddhism is Linux, etc.
All computers are connected to one, huge computer - our world.

As a Pagan, my world and life was created by Macintosh (haha, this sounds funny), and my coding only works for Macintosh.
While a Christian was created by Microsoft, yet in the same world.

I understand if you don't understand what I mean. :sorry:

Also, I don't believe in this to the fully, and it's not meant to start an argumentation.
It's for reading only. :)

I think I understand what you mean. :D I think all religions and beliefs point to the truth-using your computer and operating system analogy-Microsoft is the one I use most often, though it doesn't connect to the mainframe the way I like, so I also use Linux. :) Plus some others, but I don't know what to call them in computer program terms. ;) The important thing is connection to the mainframe, not what program we use to get that connection.

Java is the similarity between religions and the internet is the surpreme being(s).

Makes sense with linux and buddhism, many servers are unix/linux based and apart of buddism is that they believe they can become a supreme being when they pass on, depending on their enlightenment.

Christianity as MS also makes sense lots of different programs/demoninations for lots of different functions... Lots of slander and generally also requires lots of debugging.

Pagan and Apple, pagan beliefs are centred around mother earth. Although I would consider shintoism to be more Apple.

However obiously I agree with this idea.

I kinda get it...lol. However, the problem w/ this is that it completely goes against scripture and because of that I'm afraid I must disagree. Jesus said He was the way the truth and the life and no one could get to the father but by Him. He also said that that path to life is narrow and wide is the one to destruction. Because of this, you can see there are two paths, one following God and the other one not. If you reject Jesus, who is God, then you aren't on the path and thus not in truth. Thus, the only right way is through Jesus.

Haha, I didn't thought so much about that regarding the similarities in the computer and religion. :D

We need more computers so every religion can have one.

And that would probably explain why I love Macintosh computers so much, and that I also have Buddhistic influences, since I'm fascinated about Linux. ^_^

I like the idea about Internet as supreme being, since it really is.

Good that you understood what I meant. =)
Maybe everything wasn't created by only one thing.

Of course you are.
A windowsprogram can only run in windows. A christian can only believe in the christian god.
A windowsprogram can't run in linux. A christian will be damned if she/he believes in any other god.

Maybe the christian god did create the universe. But maybe Zeus did that too?
Just as Microsoft created windows, and Unix created Linux. They're both computers, they both exists, they both can connect to the internet, but yet they are different, they create different programs and they are following different codes.

If both of them were connected to a huge computer - our world - they would both create the content of it.
But the windowsprograms would only recognize the coding of windows. If a windowsprogram met Linuxcoding, it would not understand or work by it, it would simply reject it's existence, just as an error, and continue it's work for windows.
In windows, Linux doesn't exist, just as Zeus doesn't exist in christianity.
And the same way for Linux's programs.

Now add all the other computers, who works in the same way.
:)

That's a good post! I agree... Different religions are good for different people. :)

No, my family can't handle Linux, so I'm stuck with Windows. :(
I want to get a Macintosh. They're my favorites above every computer
I want to have a Linux computer too, it would be fun with an open source operative system :)

GO TUX! :D

Incorrect...anyone can believe in the Christian God. Even demons. (James 2:19)

A windowsprogram can't run in linux. A christian will be damned if she/he believes in any other god.

Incorrect...A Christian does not believe in other gods because they don't exist other than as idols created by the minds and hands of men. ( 1 John 5:ff )

Maybe the christian god did create the universe. But maybe Zeus did that too?

Zeus? :) ( Acts 17:16-34 )

Just as Microsoft created windows, and Unix created Linux. They're both computers, they both exists, they both can connect to the internet, but yet they are different, they create different programs and they are following different codes.

Incorrect...Windows and Linux are software not computers. Microsoft and Unix are companies. They both create programs that can be run on hardware to connect to the internet. :)

True they both exist...but after that the analogy fails.

<Snip>

Attempting to connect to God outside of the rules He provided will just come back with an Error 404 ;)

GO TUX!
I'd love to have a Mac too, but they are very expensive...

But you can have two operating systems on one computer :) I have both Windows XP and Ubuntu Linux :) Whenever I turn on the computer, I can choose between Windows and Linux. :)

YAY for Tux!

I know.

That was just as I said about windowsprograms who cannot recognize Linuxcoding because for that code doesn't exist in the windows programming.

Zeus? :) ( Acts 17:16-34 )

Just an example.

Please, the whole computer-thing was just used to describe what I meant. Don't take it too literal. That just proves that you haven't really got what I mean about this thread. :)

My computers memory and performance is too low for two operating system. It didn't work so well last time I tried. =/

Yeah, Mac's are all too expensive! I wish they were free like Linux.
I want Linux Redhat or Linspire ^_^

I think all you need is enough disk space...:) Some Linux systems don't need disk space at all, because they run from CDs. But I think you can't do as much with them as you can with a Linux installed on your disk...

I had Red Hat once, and I think Ubuntu is better! I haven't heard about Linspire before....

Yeah, if I'm going to have Linux, I would want it installed. One of the reasons is because I can't keep a good eye on where I put my CD's when I don't use them. ;)

Linspire is the only Linux (so far) which isn't free. Cheap, but not free.
I was in an art competition by Deviantart, the winner would have it's art as graphic in the new Linspire. Too bad I didn't win (and didn't expect to win either, with the skillful competitors :p) but I would like to see the result. I've heard it's one of the best Linux's so far.

Well, me too! I often can't find a CD when I need it

You're right, it's not free.. I've just seen a website about it. But it seems cool! :)

But it actually doesn't seem worse than Kubuntu :) (Kubuntu is a version of Ubuntu with pre-installed K Desktop Environment, which is cool)

Aww, too bad that you didn't win... I think you're awesome! By the way, have I already said how much I LOVE <3 your new signature? ^_^

Hehe, yeah.
I once lost my Photoshop CD, just when I was about to reinstall it. I searched for about 3 weeks, still didn't find it. So I called one of my friends, who lives in southern Sweden (I live in northern) and asked if I could borrow his CD.
So he sent it all the way up to me, I installed it, and sent it back. Guess what I found next day? Yep, my Photoshop CD. :D

Linspire has some Mac influences, and I guess that's why I want it. :)
I don't know much about Ubuntu and Kubuntu... Never heard of them actually, at least not anything about Kubuntu.
Any specialities? :)

Aww, thank you very much!
